The Redlands and Logan regions are set to share in the State Government’s housing investment budget package.
The Queensland Housing Strategy, which is aimed at urgently addressing housing affordability in Queensland will see 492 social housing dwellings built in Logan and the Redlands, at a cost of $150.5 million over the next ten years.
Member for Capalaba Don Brown says that building new homes would not just provide accommodation, it would also provide jobs for the region.
“This significant new investment in housing forms a pipeline of work for our local construction industry.”
“These jobs, big and small, support local tradies and their families.”
Minister for Housing and Public Works Mick de Brenni says the Housing Strategy was expected to support 85 full time equivalent jobs in the region each year for the next 10 years.
