The COMPLETE LIST of Queens’ BatonBearers has been released this morning for Our Towns.
After a selection process that began over 6 months ago, the lucky locals who will carry the Commonwealth Games 2018 Queens’ Relay Baton through the streets of Our Towns have been announced.
They join with 3,800 other Australians who will carry through their towns and cities the precious Baton and its contents, the message form the Queen, for the Games competitors.
It’s 100-day journey across the nation that begins Christmas Day this year and is the final leg in the journey for the Baton which continues to crisscross Commonwealth nations after leaving from Buckingham Palace on Commonwealth Day, Monday 13 March 2017.
It’ll be in Our Towns before making its way to the Gold Coast for the start of the Games on April 4th. 2018.

The symbolism is described as – “The Baton embraces the modern and multicultural Commonwealth of today, engaging with young and old, increasing the sense of connection and our understanding of each other.”
Besides safely containing Her Majesty’s message, the Queens Baton Relay shares the excitement of the Games with millions of people around the world, shining a light on the Gold Coast, and the Games to come.
